Audrey Tautou

Audrey Tautou, the oldest of four siblings was born on the 8th of August 1976 in Beaumont Puy-de-Domme. Her parents were dentists and teacher recognized and encouraged her passion for theatre and drama as early as she was a child. This overcame her initial ambition to become a primatologist thanks to her love of monkeys. Early success and a rapid increase in recognition marked her as a young actor. It was only in 1999 when she started acting professionally. Following her studies Tautou participated in the French TV show that scouts talent Jeunes Premiers. Tautou attended church and the Institut Catholique de Paris during her early years, but now dissociates herself from her childhood. In addition to her acting career she is also pursuing modeling. She was the model for L'Oreal Mont Blanc, Chanel and was dubbed "The Chanel Muse". Recently, at Arles Arts Festival, Arles Arts Festival, she showed a collection of photographs under the heading Superficial. Following this massive success, Tautou was later cast in many films such as British dramatics, such as Stephen Knight's Dirty Pretty Things and Jean-Pierre Jeunet's Un long dimanche de fiancailles. She also starred alongside Tom Hanks in Ron Howard's The Da Vinci Code directed by Dan Brown.
